The Association
currently manages 225 properties.
Shown below are these properties divided by program.
The Association is a community managed, non-profit organisation which provides housing for people on low to moderate incomes.
A volunteer Board made up of tenants and interested people from the community manage the Association. Staff administer its day to day operations.
The Association’s funding comes mainly from rent it receives from tenants, a grant from the ACT Government, income from management fees, rent from commercial offices and fees from conference rooms.
A group-shared house of 20 units (ranging from 3 to 8 bedrooms) providing
housing for 98 single people is managed on behalf of the ACT Government.
Community Housing
Properties are managed on behalf of CHC.
Community Accomodation Network (CAN-CHP) :
Properties were purchased to house single people with mental illness. Richmond
Fellowship selects tenants and provides support.
Housing Asset Assistance Program (HAAP):
Properties to house people with mental Illness are head-leases from the ACT
Government for which a management fee or grant is
received. Richmond Fellowship selects tenants and provides support.
Anglicare Program:
Houses with a flat have been purchased. Anglicare
select the tenants and provide support.
Commercial Offices & Meeting Rooms:
Commercial offices at Havelock House & Ainslie Village are let to community organisations. In
addition two meeting rooms are let.
Group shares houses providing housing for 172 single people is managed on
behalf of Housing ACT.
William’s Housing Program:
House with a flat, and one unit have been purchased. Tenants are provided with support.
Young Mums Program (YMP-CHP):
Properties were purchased to house young mums under the age of 25.
Gungahlin Single Accommodation (GSA):
People are accommodated in a small complex comprising 20 separate
self-contained one-bedroom apartments with common areas.
