Commitment to Service
Havelock Housing Association Inc recognises it exists for its members. The Association’s primary commitment is to providing the best possible service to its members. Its secondary commitment is to providing quality service to other clients which includes government, suppliers, community groups and other housing providers.
The purpose of the Commitment to Service is to describe the standard of service clients of the Association should expect. It is to guide and enhance the conduct of staff in performing their duties in the environment of a provider of community housing.
The Commitment of Service has the support of the Board of Directors and applies to all employees of the Association.
Policy
The Association will provide its services in a way that is:

- Appropriate to people’s needs.

Clients of the Association can expect us to:

Background
As a provider of Community Housing we have a duty to:
- Diligently implement the policies of the ACT Government as it relates to the provision of community housing
- Efficiently and effectively manage houses and units provided by our providers
- Obtain good value for money and make the best use of public resources and property
- Comply with all proper instructions and directions, and act in accordance with the spirit and the requirements of the law
- Maintain clear and sufficient documents to support decisions we have made.
- Not allow any official information to be misused.
- Provide accurate, timely, honest and balanced advice as well as seeking to resolve ethical dilemmas.
